Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Maia Cheong, and I am a 21-year-old student and aspiring filmmaker studying a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Digital Film Production at Sunway University, Malaysia. 

 

I'm a person who loves being behind the camera just as much as bouncing around new ideas with others. For me, filmmaking isn’t just about capturing images, but building concepts from scratch, shaping stories with a team, and figuring out how to turn a vision into something people can actually feel.

 

Right now, I'm exploring all kinds of projects, from short films to experimental pieces, and I’m especially drawn to stories that feel real, raw, and human. I’m big on collaboration — some of the best ideas come from late-night conversations and unexpected moments during production.

My long-term goal is to work with creative people who inspire me, and to keep growing — improving my skills, pushing my capabilities, and learning something new with every project I take on.
